Scholarship Application:

The Central Maine Youth Hockey Association Scholarship Fund was established to assist those players and families who require financial assistance.

The Central Maine Youth Hockey Association Board has established a Scholarship Committee to help determine what monies can be made available to those skaters who need help in paying their ice fees. The Scholarship Committee will keep your request and information completely confidential.

Funds will be allocated based on stated need relative to other applicants, and the availability of funds. If you feel that you might need financial assistance; we encourage you to apply early as once the fund is depleted each year, unfortunately no more scholarships can be awarded.

*Please note: that the scholarship granted may be for a portion or the full amount requested, based on the committee’s recommendation.*

Although; no monetary payment is expected or required in return for scholarship funds, we will work with the parent of each scholarship recipient to talk about volunteer opportunities as a way of giving back to CMYHA.  

• Volunteer opportunities include:  Helping to organize events such as Tag Day, tournaments, serving as a team parent to assist the coach with whatever he/she needs, and helping to keep the Colby rink clean. Other opportunities will arise throughout the season.
